Cranbrook Workshop specialises in custom joinery and cabinetry, balancing modern carpentry technologies with care and craft. We provide all types of joinery from simple solutions to more highly articulated interior designer-led treatments. Working directly with interior designers and architects, we are always keen to integrate new materials and develop interesting details.

Part of the Robert Plumb Collective, and newly merged with Captive Cabinetmaking, Cranbrook Workshop is in a growth phase with a strong pipeline of upcoming projects. We are looking to expand our skilled cabinet making team and have created a new position for an experienced draftsperson with expertise in Microvellum. The position is full-time and located in our workshop in Botany.

The role _

With a passion for joinery and cabinetry, you will be keen to learn new systems and processes, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy the creative side of technical drawing through to production. In this role, you will be exposed to premium architectural design projects, and be part of a well known team of experts.

About you _

  • Experience in a similar position.
  • Microvellum experience.
  • Background in joinery or cabinet making is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage all stakeholders, including building strong relationships with the team, external parties and clients.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Solution based problem solving.
  • Organised with excellent time management skills.
